Extreme cocktailing

Cocktail programs at local restaurants are becoming competitive, with bartenders one-upping one another in the bizarre-ingredient department. Trenchermen, for instance, uses pine needles to infuse the whiskey in its Pioneer cocktail. More exotic examples here.

Is Shake Shack coming to Chicago?

Grub Street New York reports that the wildly popular Shake Shack has its sights near Michigan Avenue. The food blog says the Harley-Davidson store on Ohio Street is a leading candidate.
