From A.V. Club Chicago —
Number of neighborhood taverns in Chicago is dwindling, says USA Today:
The friendly neighborhood watering hole, once a time-honored institution, may soon be a thing of the past, according to a gloomy report by USA Today that notes the scary disappearance of taverns in Chicago. Since 1990, the number of Chicago establishments with tavern licenses has fallen from 3,300 to 1,200, a drop-off that definitely seems trend-worthy.
What’s your favorite neighborhood tavern?
